This breathtaking statue of “Jesus with the children” is a true depiction of what Jesus did when people were bringing their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when his disciples began rebuking them Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Mathew 19:14) The statue is finely carved from one solid piece of olive wood over a mahogany pedestal.
