This very special  chuppah is hand painted by the Israeli artist Yair Emanuel.
The white/cream wedding canopy has a square in the middle with scenes of Jerusalem in vivid colors and the word Jerusalem in Hebrew, The chuppah contains 4 flaps with matching design and has wrote in Hebrew words of the seventh wedding blessing קול ששון וקול שמחה, קול חתן וקול כלה – kol sason v’kol simcha, kol chatan v’kol kalah, meaning voices of joy and gladness, voices of groom and bride.

 Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk appliqué and painting on wood.
