The wooden base and feature a beautiful illustration of the walls and arches of the holy city of Jerusalem, the city of gold, under a clear blue sky, small pomegranates with branches and leaves are painted on the sides of the plate and In the middle of the base a transparent glass bowl to fill with honey. The honey dish is hand-painted with vibrant colors and then lacquered to preserve the colors.
Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio.
