This authentic Ram’s Horn Shofar is hand painted by the israeli artist Lily Shohat and features the Messianic Seal of Jerusalem with the star of David and the fish and in bright colors.In the middle of the Star of David an orange Swarowski crystal. To complete the design some olive tree leaves. The design sits on a gold background painted on the top half of the Shofar that is edged with gold lines. The shofar has a natural bright color and is full polished. The shofar is tested to ensure high quality. In the Scriptures, the word shofar – שׁוֹפָר first occurs in Exodus 19:16 when the Torah was first given to Israel – Shavuot (i.e., “Pentecost”): “On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud shofar blast”קל שׁפָר חָזָק מְאד”, so that all the people in the camp trembled…. And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.” This shofar blast is sometimes called the “first trump” of God.*Measurement is around the outside curve of the Shofar !
