This authentic Yemenite Kudu Shofar features a bright mosaic that includes boxes, circles, flowers and squares in shades of orange, red, green, yellow, brown and purple remembering the Jerusalem roofs. The Mosaic pattern sits on a white background painted on the top half of this Shofar that is edged with gold lines. The sound of the shofar has been heard throughout our history, most importantly during the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Today, the shofar is used on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, when the unique power of that same sound awakens the soul and renews spirituality.
Artist Lily Shohat lives and works in Israel, designer and creator of Judaica and beautiful decorative accessories. Her use of rich and exciting colors as well as the variety of techniques she employs on glass, metals and other materials, results in the creation of original Israeli art.
