The sides of the shofar are decorated with blue pomegranates and other fun flowers in blue, overlaid with a dotted floral pattern. The pomegranates are accompanied by a series of thin gold lines and sit on a Golden background edged with gold lines as well. The sound of the shofar has been heard throughout Jewish history, most importantly during the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Today, the shofar is used on the Jewish New Year, when the unique power of that same sound awakens the soul and renews spirituality.

The Israeli artist Lily Shohat is a designer and creator of Judaica and beautiful decorative accessories.
